The Community Garden offers growing beds for local people, a Forest School space and a Green Room. The Community Garden normally has three annual Open Days and a Christmas Event
(All currently subject to current Covid-19 Regulations)

Community Garden Days

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Community Garden is currently closed to the general public and our regular volunteer days have been cancelled until further notice.

Community Volunteer Days: Wednesday Afternoons 
The Community Garden welcomes volunteers to work on the communal areas in the garden and the Forest School space.
There are sessions run on most Wednesday afternoons 1.00 - 4.00 pm and from 11.0 am to 3.00 pm during the winter. Sessions are subject to holiday dates and the weather. Just come along to meet us and see if the volunteer activities and our set up suites you.

Saturday Openings
The Community Garden is open to the public on the first Saturday in the month 1.0 - 3.0 pm.

Corporate Team Building Days
Work days for corporate or business teams can be arranged in the Community Garden with a range of gardening and maintenance activities.

Who We Are

The Community Garden is a 'not-for-profit' voluntary community project providing raised growing beds for local people. The garden features a community orchard, a large soft fruit bed, a wild flower bank, art installation, a children's area, a poly-tunnel, a greenhouse, cold frames and storage facilities. The Community Garden is run by volunteers via a constituted committee of seven with a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.  The accounts are independently audited.

Forest School Area
The garden has a 'Forest School' outdoor classroom area used by local primary schools, childminders and Forest School groups as well as for outdoor art sessions. 

The Green Room
The Community Garden has an indoor space, a large garden room, overlooking the park. It is available for hire for therapy/counselling/teaching & learning/Home School sessions. Contact the Community Garden for further details: maryonparkcommunitygarden@gmail.com

Outdoor Art

The Community Garden and Outdoor Art

The Maryon Park Community Garden, is a centre for outdoor art with installations in the growing area. £5 entry on the night. Individuals or teams up to 5 - Bring a mask.

Good to Grow Day 2021

Maryon Park Community Garden is taking part in the national ‘Good to Grow’ event on Saturday 24thApril opening the garden from 10.0 am to 4.0 pm. 

There will be a tomato and plant sale, damson jam and a woodcraft stall at the Community Garden gates. 

New visitors are invited to see the Maryon Park Community Garden and Forest School with socially distancedtours for family groups and ‘Bubbles’. 

Visitors are asked to wear a mask.
